About Us

Network for Human Rights and Justice (NHRJ) that established in 2014 is registered, independent, non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian and non-governmental organization. The Organization is registered with The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984.

NHRJ is an international network of thinkers, researchers, policy-makers, lawyers, journalists, and academics of diverse backgrounds. We forge new conversations and relationships with a wide range of partners all over the world. NHRJ publishes more than dozens reports in more than 5 countries having extensive coverage in local and international media. NHRJ with this leverage bring all national organization, institutions and human rights defenders to press for change in policy and practice that promote and implement declarations, covenants, protocols and communiqués related to Human Rights and justice around the country.

Its primary objectives are to promote and protect Human Rights and to help the poor and down trodden in securing their rights through advocacy, research, justice, legal aid, financial assistance and measures aimed to help the society and the government in Pakistan to implement declarations, covenants, protocols and communiqués related to Human Rights. NHRJ continues to promote a unique holistic approach by combining human rights advocacy with physical development initiatives. By adopting this approach NHRJ has achieved tremendous results to date, particularly in the most backward areas of the country, such as the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. And this is all without taking or requesting a single penny from any donor agency, national or international. Rather, it is NHRJs members who have generously supported its initiatives with the help of the local communities NHRJO continues to serve.
